- Portions of the TBM and back-up were assembled using Onsite First Time Assembly (OFTA)
- The launch occurred from a deep 109 m (357 ft) shaft in densely urban Mumbai
- The 8.3 km (5.2 mi) tunnel is vital for Mumbai’s aging water system
